It's a little more expensive than I'd like - $25-$35 would be ideal - but I got a job grant so I took it. I was looking for a kickstand that was separate from my computer, so aluminum stands or stands that connect to the bottom of laptops weren't an option. I have a MacBook, and as soon as I saw that it was made out of bamboo (eco-friendly), foldable and held together with magnets, I was sold. It would be easy to travel with and I also liked that it was tablet and e-reader friendly too. It feels solid, weighs very little, and looks great on my desk. This raises my screen to a comfortable height without the extra wood. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse while they're installed - I think using raised keys and a trackpad would be awkward, so I don't. It should be noted that when you open or close the laptop on the stand, it will snap into place. Protective cover/stand edge so you don't have to slam the laptop because it hits the tree.
