I bought my old car from my father who lives in the unfavorable climate of upstate New York. This thing worked wonders under the hood; covered with 4 year old northeastern mud. I was afraid to spray the engine compartment for fear of a short circuit, but I came across a thread on the internet that said if I start the car first and warm up the engine, I can safely spray and flush without fear (it unless before of course there is a damaged wire or something, but I took a very good look at it before trying). I started the car, opened the hood and started spraying the engine. The chemical started to foam the surfaces a little. I used an adjustable hose nozzle with one of the lighter settings - mist first, then shower. The immediate results were obvious, but I did the second round. My only regret is that I didn't take any before and after photos, but the engine compartment looks clean if you don't show a clean car. I was very happy and amazed at the dirty water running down my path. The heat from the engine evaporated all the water in just a few minutes. Highly recommended.
