When first installing these gates, it was quite difficult to do. The threaded stems attached to circular plates to go into each of the fours corners were quite difficult. Especially when you don't want to mount (with holes) into your door ways.I realized that the problem is when tightening these treaded stems at each corner which has tight holes but without threads. What I recommend is to buy additonal M10-1.5 hex nuts (qty=4) so that each steam has two nuts. Tighten one nut against the cirular plate on each end to solve the problem of gripping the end from turning as you tighten the 2nd nut towards each corner of the gate. The streaded stem is long enough to be stable and be firm after the installation. The purpose is to stablize the gap between the gate and the doorway. No holes in the wall and the gate is rock hard in place. Problem solved.
