Lid too small despite "one size fits most" sign. I wear oversized hats so it's worth mentioning. Even more disappointing is how thin the lid is. I live on the North Shore of the Gulf of Mexico and there have been many cold and windy days this year and this hat did not keep my head warm during those cold days. If you live in more northerly latitudes you might forget to use this hat on cold and windy or very cold winter days as it's just not designed for that. One more note: despite the fact that this hat is merino wool, it's a little prickly. Despite some sensitivity to fabric itchiness, I have merino wool socks and have no problem with this itchiness, so this was a disappointment for me too. On a plus side, this is a nice cap. The cap is advertised as an import. . What is not said is that it is China that it is imported from.
