Works great - and saved 19 hours of MiniDV footage!

This bilingual cable could connect an old Sony DCR-TRV10 camcorder with a 4-pin FireWire 400 port to a mid-2012 MacBook Pro with a 9-pin FireWire 800 port (as opposed to a other similar cable I bought that said it was NOT bilingual) which allowed me to salvage about 19 hours of footage from old MiniDV cassettes.
