This headset has 2 earbuds, a flat part with a hook over the ear or in the ear so to speak without a hook. both are equally comfortable/uncomfortable for me depending on how long I wear them, just don't try wearing them both hook and liner if you don't like the pain. As others have said, there is no volume control on the headphones. the device itself, but you can control the Bluetooth volume from your phone, but so far the speaker has managed its own volume well. The Jabra STYLE, the model I bought, was replaced by the Talk 30 in 2018, so a word of warning for those who don't know: if you're buying the Jabra STYLE model, it's likely been stored for several years, so battery life may be affected will not meet your expectations. I was already aware of that when I bought this model, since the reviews of the new model are not so good.
