Sturdy, but not that sturdy.
I was a bit incredulous that these shelves would be able to hold 44 pounds, they are clearly not designed to hold up under that weight. I would give them max of 20 pounds. Overall they are nice and a decent shelving system.
- The playpen is lightweight and portable, making it easy to move around as needed
- The metal wire may become brittle and break over time
