This was my first cabin air filter change in a 14 Altima and it took 25 minutes from start to finish. I started loosening the three screws at the bottom of the glove box. I then removed the top three screws that were accessible from inside the glove box. Finally, I removed the two screws that were inside the guide insert. After carefully removing the glove box, I disconnected the two cables that were connected to the glove box. If you are lifting the glove box off the floor, this step is not necessary. When removing the glove box, be careful not to damage the cable. I reached to the bottom of the sealed compartment and removed the plastic cover by squeezing the lever. The hardest part was removing the old air filter as it didn't have a paper lip. When I took it out, I took a comparison photo of the old and new filters. White filter versus gray filter. Doesn't matter! Note. When installing a new filter, note the air flow arrows on the new air filter. The arrow should be pointing towards you as that is the direction of airflow. Connect the two wires and tighten all the screws - and smile because you just saved a bunch of money by doing it yourself.
