So I recently got a Fios Gigabit and tried to test it on many other USB 3.0 Ethernet adapters (both A and C). None of my laptops have ever been able to deliver true gigabit speeds with these adapters. So I suspected that either the network card or the drivers were causing the speed drop (450Mbps) since my WiFi (Synology) is outputting 550600Mbps on AC WiFi, but I couldn't be sure until I got this adapter . I was so happy to see that my laptop could reach almost 940Mbps with Ookla (speedtest.net) and 1Gbps with Fast.com. Note: I've received a lot of negative feedback about this product from people trying to plug it into various ports it wasn't designed for. I have attached the port icon as well as the image of the port. I hope this helps clear up the confusion. I used it on my Lenovo X1 Extreme Gen 1.
