Not compatible with 7th gen X1 Carbon (or newer I think)

I can't comment on how well this works on older generations, but it's definitely not X1 compatible 7th generation carbon. I wish I had tried while I could return it and luckily I had a standard USB stick stashed in my backpack when I needed it. Then why am I rating it 3 stars? Because if you're looking for the 7th gen version, Amazon takes you here and the picture doesn't show the connector well enough for anyone not to be sure to check - it's worth it for me to really rate it, though theโ€ฆ

gigabits. Here I am!

So I recently got a Fios Gigabit and tried to test it on many other USB 3.0 Ethernet adapters (both A and C). None of my laptops have ever been able to deliver true gigabit speeds with these adapters. So I suspected that either the network card or the drivers were causing the speed drop (450Mbps) since my WiFi (Synology) is outputting 550600Mbps on AC WiFi, but I couldn't be sure until I got this adapter . I was so happy to see that my laptop could reach almost 940Mbps with Ooklaโ€ฆ

This adapter works great with Lenovo X380 Yoga. Connects to 1Gbps with no issues. It was ready to use right out of the box, with Windows 10, with no additional drivers. There seems to be a lot of confusion about the port type required for this dongle. I don't know if this is Lenovo property, but I've never seen this type of connector before. In the user manual, this connector is referred to as "Ethernet mini-connector". Note. It won't fit in a USB port (including USB-C that has a differentโ€ฆ
