Review on ASUS X570 Plus Motherboard paired with VG248QG Monitor – A Dynamic Duo for High Performance Gaming and Productivity by Kyle Dill

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice simple setup - with one catch

I had no problems with this board. Installation went well, it has a ton of ports so you really can choose the cable routes that work best for your case, and the pre-installed Wraith Prism cooler mount (included with my Ryzen 3700) is so easy that it made me drives crazy. on other coolers because they do something not so obvious. A few people have reported problems with Wi-Fi drivers when setting up Windows - I've had no problems in that department. The only problem I had was my own. This board requires an 8-pin to 4-pin connector for additional power to the processor (the processor requires a total of 12 input pins). Years ago I bought a fully modular Corsair HX750 PSU and reused it for this build. To my surprise, of all the cables that came with it, it didn't have a 4-pin (or even 4+4-pin!) connector. Maybe this plug is relatively new? I don't know. In any case, make sure your kit supports this connection before you start or you will be disappointed as the system will not work if it does not have an additional power supply. If your power supply is modular, you can just buy a separate cable for it (8 pin male to 4+4 pin male). If it's not modular, make sure it includes a 4-pin connector OR you'll need some sort of adapter.
