I installed 3 of 4 bulbs but tested all 4 and they all work. They get pretty hot, but not as close as halogen bulbs. The biggest problem with the 3 installed are all 3 different warm white tones. it tells me the quality is low or that this brand is a rebrand of a big brand wedding. This is my 4th attempt at Amazon 78mm RJ7 light bulbs. The first 3 had failed completely within 4 months of purchase. I had to stop after the 3rd time, it wasn't magic. They're incredibly bright for a 5 watt bulb, which tells me they don't just run at 5 watts, especially considering how much heat they generate.
