My daughter loves this suit but it really is made for a woman with breasts to support the bodice. I added clear plastic ties for my 10 year old daughter to appear in this costume. The straps are very necessary. The tool is too loose to serve as a strap. The wig is ok. She's had the costume for over a year now and it hasn't fallen apart (and she plays in her costumes regularly), although we had to add bobby pins to keep the hair framing her face from being split into bangs.
