This light meets all my needs for perfect night lighting. It has a compact design with multiple modes to switch. I mainly use the auto light mode so it only activates in the dark and detects motion (thus saving power!). The motion detector is quite sensitive, so it lights up even before I get very close to it. Love the fact that it's plugged in and you can leave it there forever without worrying about changing the battery! I'm also impressed with how many levels of brightness can be switched (many other brands only offer one level of brightness, which is blinding me). For the ones I use in our bathroom at night, I set them very dark so it's easier for me to go back to sleep afterwards. For the one I use next to the stairs, I made it a lot lighter. You can also set your own brightness level on a continuous scale, with 5 presets being enough for me. I think this is one of my favorite maternity and nursing purchases - you know how often we have to get up at night and we'd appreciate anything that can help get back to sleep :).
