all the pros and cons were weighed before spending the money. I bought it primarily for shooting landscapes, and as a staff member for all occasions while traveling. I thought that for such money I would have "cloudless happiness". Of course, the sharpness, picture quality, colors, detailing pleased - everything is on the level and does not cause any complaints. But the chromate is hard, which I did not expect from Zeiss (I have an ancient Zeiss manual - there is something to rip off), this is especially noticeable in the defocus zone, not necessarily in backlight. It catches "creepy green unkillable hares", which when shooting sea sunsets is very annoying and even spoils good shots. Itβs just that you canβt stamp the splashes of waves, etc., without loss, little things ... The sharpness of the lens sometimes does a disservice - with an increase in ISO - the slightest noise is amplified at times (which is especially noticeable when using filters) - the sky in the landscape turns out to be as if powdered, untidy. Well, when shooting portraits - all the wrinkles are "on the face" Vignetting, which, of course, is corrected by software, but again, when filters are applied (and what a landscape without a polarizer!) It makes it impossible to shoot high-quality at the minimum focal length due to broken corners, which is not always possible to fix in programs. And yet, when compared with other lenses, the picture quality wins greatly. In general, a very good staffer. But for the price, a lens with the coveted blue badge was expected to do much more.
