I received this couch blanket because I recently adopted a dog from the shelter and she has an incontinence issue which we are working with the vet to fix. Until then, we want her to snuggle up on the couch next to us and be part of the family, but at the same time we have to protect everything. It protects the sofa very well, is easy to wash and all moisture does not get onto the sofa. My only complaint is that the loops that the ratchet strap hooks into are just plain stitched. It should be at least a triple stitch, something that reinforces a known point of tension. I had my two altered while lying on this couch after about a week and a half. They began to break away from real cover. Next time I take it off to wash I'll pop it into my sewing machine and triple stitch in that area. Update: After this product took longer. Now it only seems good for minor spills. My dog had a major accident on the couch and this blanket didn't stop him from getting to the pillows. Now I'll probably send it back. I might see if I can buy something at a fabric store to put on the back to make it waterproof.
