I adopted a wild cat 18 months ago. It was a slow, rough start. He was starving, infested with worms and mites. When he was tamed enough, he decided to give it a try inside, much to my delight. He ate everything that caught his eye. Food for other cats, food for dogs, and any human food he could reach with his paws. He went from 10 pounds to 16 pounds in 8 months! Took him to the vet, ran some tests to find out he was fat. The vet strongly recommended choosing the highest cost for the food available. I refused and changed the feeding schedule from 2 times a day to 4 times a day, so everyone ate something and he couldn't eat his food.
