Review on Turtle Reptile Haven by Tammy Campbell

I ordered this cabin for my Ybs and Res to have a little secluded spot. I received it from Amazon nicely, freshly and securely packaged. Shortly after I put it in my aquarium after a quick flush. Two of my little toddlers loved it when they saw it. They played around it all the time and even climbed on it a few times to keep warm. Didn't get it for them to sunbathe on but they seemed to love it so much they did. Every day for a week I noticed a change in the color of the tree trunk. At first I thought the turtles would scratch it, but it wasn't. In fact, it happened day after day. It didn't really bother me at first, but over time it changed visually. The fact that the color started to fade didn't bother me at first, but that the turtle liked it very much. After about a week I decided to do a weekly tank cleaning. I picked up a few things, tidied them up, and then it was time for me to pick up the cabin. I picked up the phone and then my thumb went through the wood like potato chips. It had a small tear in it. I was shocked because I thought this product was made from expensive potato chips. It was enough that the bark was painted on it, and now it was potato shavings covered in paint. It felt like it was someone's art project that I had just ruined. The material wasn't wood, it felt so flimsy and cheap. When I first received it I found it very strong and sturdy. So my question was what happened that he turned around like that. It was submerged underwater and advertised as being usable underwater or above. No matter what happens I will never buy this cabin again. It was a real waste of money. I managed to rip the whole cabin apart with my thumb, which is very disappointing (wish I'd taken a picture of it before smashing it, but oh well.). I gave it two stars because my tortoises were very happy with it but they have changed since it broke. In a way, I'm glad I made it before them because sooner or later they would probably start eating the leftovers once they started to come off, which would be very bad. I think I'll look for something else to make up for this loss. My turtles look so sad now. I wish I could get a refund but learned the lesson.
