It is better than other more expensive shoes. They are true to size I would say. What I like is that the top of the foot, the instep, is usually swollen on babies and this shoe is cut high in that area to allow the foot to fit. Although it goes to the toe area. Unlike other shoes which have toe room but are tailored to the child's size making them uncomfortable and unwearable. I love the mount! It's a loop and velcro, not just a velcro that stays attached. The skin is great all round! At 6-12 months, the bottom is dark suede so the spots aren't as visible. 12 months and older have rubber lugs on the outsole for traction. Bought 3 pairs in different sizes and colors. Absolutely love! Whoever designed them and made them so accessible really knows what they are doing. I also bought a pair to give as gifts.
