I love the form factor, size, material, looks, etc. I was having trouble with the pepper mill's features. The regulation of the degree of grinding has loosened with use. So after a few uses I would notice a much coarser grind and I would need to tighten. Or you need to remember to tighten before each use. Neither is perfect. But today, exactly a year ago, the leg of the pepper mill fell apart and spilled peppercorns into my sauce. I will be looking for an exact replacement just because I want to customize the salt grinder and storage space I have installed. UPDATE: Turns out mill tips are very common. I bought the small one for about $5 and used the lid as a replacement, it's exactly the same minus the name engraved on it. It works great even keeping my settings. I must have just caught a bad one at first. I love my set!
