I had to cut a piece (thick enough) of sheet metal to patch a hole in an HVAC vent. I bought a pair of Harbor Freight scissors because I knew I would probably only use them once. Unfortunately the Harbor Freight shears were too thin to cut the sheet metal I bought and because the handles were plastic they warped and bent when trying to cut the sheet metal - it just made a big mess and I was able to die don't finish work. cut even if I wanted to. I did some research on the internet and came across these scissors as they are (obviously) some of the highest quality scissors out there. While I still had to use a lot of muscle to cut through the sheet metal, it was definitely doable and I made a nice clean cut. I wanted to cut a round piece as the hole I covered was round and I had no problem. The only reason I'm having trouble is because I think the thickness of the sheet metal I'm cutting was close to the upper limit for these scissors. I probably should have paid more attention when buying sheet metal as I overdid it for my particular application. I would definitely recommend her.
