Review on Remington Hyperflex Advanced Rotary Shaver by Jackie Wilson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not my favorite: Shaver

I used to use rotary razors, then switched to electric foil shavers for many years and returned to rotary razors with this Remington. Braun has been my bread and butter for years, but I recently had the opportunity to try out a Panasonic arc3 foil shaver. so i have some experience with a few different types. This one from Remington comes in a pretty box you'll find on a shelf in a retail store, perfect for a gift. In the package you will find a razor, a charging station, a charger, a small brush and 2 razor covers. Notably, there is no travel case that used to come bundled with even the cheapest electric razors. This thing is pretty simple. It has 1 button, a charge indicator and a low battery indicator. This is a relatively quiet razor, but the sound it makes is high-pitched and not the most pleasant. The Braun is a bit louder, but the sound is nicer. The charging station for it is pretty bad. Normally, a charging stand would be an afterthought in any bathroom, but in this one it's quite difficult to keep it separate, as the charging cable plugs into the side of the stand rather than the back, leaving it sticking out a few inches on the side. Stood and just looks weird. You can turn the shaver sideways to avoid this, but then you won't see the charging indicator. I usually dry shave and have been using an electric shaver 3-5 times a week for the past 20 years. This one shaved well, but it took longer to shave and my face is irritated afterwards. I have not had this experience with other razors. I cannot recommend it due to the lack of a travel case, the odd charging base and the irritation I feel after using this device which my other electric shavers do not. There's a close shave, and I might be the only one irritated, so take my review with a grain of salt. I'm just sharing my experience.
