The handlebar mount is flimsy at best.

Will not fit old style stem (see photo). Have to have newer stem with "stem cap". Not clear in product details. The handlebar mount is flimsy at best. can't get a good hold even when pulling strap tight with vice grips. The screw cap for the strap doesn't tighten it enough. Bumps are sure to knock the whole apparatus downward. I guess I will have to invest in new stem for my 29yr old Bianchi.

Pros
  • Great concept.. Holds phone tight and firmly but does not hold tight to handle bar
Cons
  • The universal bike phone mount holder may not fit all types of handlebars, rendering it useless for some users

Great product! good for me

Worked very well on my road bike. Was skeptical about the adhesive part but was locked tight on a flat carbon phone case that will only be used for this mount. I have been on several 60+ mile paved rides averaging 20-24mph and up to 50mph+ speeds with no issues. Paired with bluetooth headphones my back pocket jersey no longer requires to lug around a 5 lbs phone.

Pros
  • Great for street tho
Cons
  • The mount may be difficult to adjust and may require frequent readjustment during use

The perfect mount, surprisingly difficult to find

After a lot of searching for an elegant solution I finally somehow stumbled upon this little diddy. When I bought it the price was lower, but it's still worth it for the money. It installs very cleanly on your stem and replaces your stem cap and pivots with a lasting good level of stiction that keeps the phone securely in the angle you position it. The adhesive cleat works very well, and as long as you use a polycarbonate case and prep the surface with alcohol, it stays stuck for as long as…

Pros
  • Fit for Most Devices - Compact design for Smart Phones, GPS or other devices. And 3M Sticky Pad makes this mount compatible with iPhone 7 / iPhone 7Plus 6 6S Plus, 5 5s 5C, iPod, Samsung Galaxy S7 S6 S5 S4, Note 5 4 3 and more.
Cons
  • The holder may not come with clear instructions, making it difficult for users to install or use properly

Works Great With iPhone 7+

Over 1,000 miles and this phone mount works great with my iPhone 7+. Handlebar mount was too loose with a big phone but the stem bolt mount works fine. And a lot cheaper than the Top Peak mount. In fact I bought a second one for my other road bike.

Pros
  • Perfect equipment
Cons
  • The mount may scratch or damage the phone's screen or back panel during installation or use

It seems like high quality metal but two issues I had which caused a return:1) the tab that keeps the phone in place on the mount is very flimsy. Does not give me confidence that it would keep the phone clipped in during heavy bumps.2) Does not work on a bike with carbon forks that uses a compression top cap. It says this in fine print in the instructions but not in the description online. This would have saved me from ordering this in the first place.Great price but point 1 above makes it a…

Pros
  • Perfect
Cons
  • The mount may not be suitable for off-road use and can become loose or detached due to constant jarring and shaking

Great for an exercise bike but much to flimsy for outdoors!

This is really pretty cheaply made. I bought this for an exercise bike, so it works well since the bike is stationary. I would imaging that this would not be solid enough to support a $700+ phone on a outdoor bicycle. I also purchased a Quad Lock phone mount at the same time for my outdoor bicycle, the Quad Lock cost about 3 times as much but the support and quality difference is well worth it.

Pros
  • genius product. works perfectly
Cons
  • The holder may not be accessible while wearing gloves, making it difficult to use during colder weather

very smart design & works really well

To be fair I only used it for a month so far. But it's sturdy & easy to use.The phone rotation is simple and smooth.I bought an extra cheap cover for my phone to attach the mount

Pros
  • Nice clean professional look instead of the wobbly handlebar looking stuff. Sturdy too.
Cons
  • The mount may require frequent cleaning due to dust and debris buildup, affecting its stability and grip

excellent. for my opinion

excellent. great price, has been working great. Just pick a decent case, I have an otter box that I use and it handles vibrations just fine. No point in ordering a separate computer when your phone does just as much and this mount makes it better. great design

Pros
  • Works just perfec5 on trails.Surprisingly good.
Cons
  • The mount may interfere with the view of the bike's speedometer and other gauges

Sleek and sturdy phone mount, even for those phablets!

I installed this directly to the stem on my State fixie, and it has held steady through 40+ miles of usage. The angle adjustment normally stays right where I put it to begin with, unless I'm riding over some particularly big bumps. I used a Speck clear case on my Note 8, and even with the large size of the phone, I have no worries about the mount dropping my phone. The mounting mechanism seems strong enough to prevent drops and damage, but is still easy to detach at the end of my ride.Overall…

Pros
  • Keeps my phone well secured
Cons
  • The mount may obstruct the rider's view of surrounding traffic and obstacles

very usefull - my new review

this is my 2nd time buying this in 5 years. the first one loosened up , time to get a new one. def recommend Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • So good and it’s the same size as the real Topeak . Great for the street , soon I’ll try it off-road
Cons
  • The holder may not be durable and may break easily with frequent use

No replacement sticky pads

I’ve had this bike mount for a couple years now. It works great, very sturdy and well made. Even looks good. Can’t give it five stars because you can’t find replacements for the sticky adhesive anywhere. So if you plan on switching phones or cases it renders the bike mount obsolete.

Pros
  • Very specific piece
Cons
  • The mount may not be adjustable enough to accommodate different angles and positions for optimal viewing

Took this on a bike ride 2 days after i .

Took this on a bike ride 2 days after i installed it. I went down a slight declined hill at 32 mph and the phone stayed on the stem the entire time despite the constant mobility of the bumpy asphalt. Been on 2 additional rides and has held steady.

Pros
  • ‎ODCY3301
Cons
  • The holder may be affected by extreme temperatures, making it difficult or impossible to use during hot or cold weather
