Bought for Syrian Hamster Toilet

I got a Syrian hamster for the first time and read that sand can be used as a toilet. I wanted to test this on my hamster so I bought this 1.5 pound bag of ultra fine sand for $7.35. To my surprise, my hamster settled into his tray very quickly. Then it was time to change the tray and I realized this sandbag wasn't going to last long. I wasn't planning on cooking the sand for reuse like I've read online from some people. The cost of this premium sandbag will not be worth it for me in the long run. So I went to my local Home Depot and bought a 50 pound bag of sand for $6.
