I've been using Rit Dye for many years now. I would do tie-dye projects with my kids and grandkids, and tie-dye projects with them. I now use it to 'refresh' clothes that have faded but are still definitely wearable. Just follow the instructions. You are making a mistake if you leave the fabric in the dye for too long. Use the product to "set" the color. Sometimes I also used vinegar to fix the color. Wash separately in cold water the first few times. You will not be disappointed. It's like getting new clothes for little money and effort. Much luck!
