Review on πŸ“· Tamron 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VXD Lens for Sony Full Frame/APS-C E-Mount, Black by Seo Jun ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

In general and in general, this is the only "affordable ticket" in a telephoto with an aperture of 2.8 for full-frame SONY UPCs! And probably this is the main argument for this glass. Otherwise, I want to note: Excellent work of tracking AF, excellent sharpness in the center of the frame at any focal length, decent blurring of the back (if needed for portrait tasks), relatively affordable price. Now in the bottom line and without unnecessary emotions: A versatile lens for everything from portraiture to landscapes, for example, in the mountains, in open areas. The greatest sense of volume when portraiting is achieved with open aperture values at the long end (180mm), otherwise there are not enough stars from the sky, the zoom is like a zoom. Separately, I want to note the weight and design: The Tamron company managed to accomplish the essentially impossible - up to 1 kilo to push the working range of 70-180 with aperture 2.8 into a relatively compact body. For a moment - the most worthy of the most worthy 24-70 often weigh more than this 70-180. The back is fine, the wrist does not ache from a 2-hour walk and aperture is 2.8! What else do you need? With all the "overprice" for Sony optics, this Tamron may turn out to be your best acquisition of all that you can generally buy for this system. It's worth something! It was not without emotions . (sorry . I'll try to summarize - an excellent lens for both an amateur and a professional, more than 2 times cheaper than the original one from Sony (GM), and at a price of 100k + - you can only afford the original f4 hole, which, yes, is original . but still simpler than this Tamron, and comparable in weight. In general, taking into account my experience of shooting on different systems - I RECOMMEND! Everyone without exception. unless of course your wallet is ready for such costs =) Good luck to all!

Pros
  • Weight, design, sharpness, autofocus speed
Cons
  • Price - like all standing lenses on the Sony system
