Update. The company contacted me and replaced the cup. But I have yet to use it to see if it holds up this time. But added 1 star for customer service. If it doesn't hold up well, add another star or 2.1 stars for the design, it's cute. 1 star because it holds liquid. Think back to the days when mugs were durable and you could use them often. Well, this mug isn't like that. After 1 wash the design started to tear. Even with a soft sponge. And each additional wash after that is even more flaky. So you are basically paying for a white mug. If you just want novelty then great if you want functionality and durability. Then keep looking. Don't throw it in the sink. Don't use a sponge on it, just rinse it and put it somewhere safe. Be extremely careful when picking it up as even your ring can scratch it. And don't forget to put it on a soft surface, because the bottom is covered with the same film that peels off. But the positive is that it holds liquid. It's good.
