The light is amazing and bright. Multiple modes and colors. I bought several indoor and outdoor boxes. I bought covers to keep the USB plugs dry outdoors. The description said they can be used that way. The first rain and no one was working outside. Some blinked and twitched, but didn't respond to the remote control other than the "off" button. They eventually worked when they dried out, but some of the individual LEDs glowed one color or another. I had to take them all off and replace them with regular lights. If you are planning to buy them for outdoor use, you should probably consider string lights. For indoor use, they will not sync if turned on at the same time. long enough, and different modes don't keep the same time between threads. I'm giving them three because they are misrepresented as indoors/outdoors. They are definitely not weatherproof and will not work at all if it rains on the strand.
