I used the smallest size.

The smallest size I've used to attach the strap to a purse I just made for my granddaughter. I threaded the strap through the rectangular ring and back through the strap. The strap is attached by four layers of synthetic leather.

My brother likes to make belts these work better than pop revets. Changing buckles out is a snap.
