The cup holder is too small to fit in the standard cup holder slot in most cars. This means if you want to put a coffee glass in a cup holder, for example, you have to put it in at the top, which expands, but then it gets heavy at the top, and because the bottom is so small, it won't fit in the cup holder. Accordingly, your coffee either spills onto your knees or onto the passenger seat. If you are interested in purchasing one of these I would suggest the sizes match the pair or you are planning on using one. This one is too small for my car making it pretty useless for me.
