Review on πŸ–‹οΈ Gullor Glass Dip Pen: Vintage Handmade Crystal Signature Pen - Elegant Blue Gift Pen by Kim Sanchez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks good, writes fairly well, feels a bit small in hand

I got this pen to help me test different fountain pen inks and it holds the ink well and delivers a nice smooth line (sometimes a bit bold) for a much longer time than I expected. The color and pattern on the glass are very attractive (reminds me of the glass paperweights my grandma used to collect) and way more stylish than the glitter filled ones that are more common out there. I prefer the look of a large lightbulb with straight channels at the top of the "tip" but they don't provide a straight line to write on. The edges of the nib were quite sharp, making it very scratchy when writing. I fixed this very easily with a small sheet of ultra-fine Emory sandpaper/cloth (1200 grit). I placed a piece of sandpaper on the surface of the table and gently ran the tip over it, turning the handle. After a few swipes, the edge smoothed out and was much more comfortable afterwards. Be careful not to overdo it. I should note that this pen is smaller than I expected (although it's actually not much smaller than advertised). All of this fits in my hand. Mine is 7.25 inches long, which is a little shorter than advertised, but for some reason I was expecting it to be a bit heavier. It's not a problem, just make sure you know what you're getting.

Pros
  • Writes freely and doesn't cut paper
Cons
  • Not sure
