My original Kohler hose broke after about eight years of heavy use so I bought this new one to replace it. It works well for its intended purpose. But whatever design or material is being used creates a very noisy and awkward experience. Each time it is pulled, the material rubs against the mixer components, making a very distinct noise, whereas the original hose was virtually silent. I believe the original came in a smooth plastic sleeve and this is covered with plastic tape. Also, the design of the hose seems to move the weight to bounce under the sink and hit anything (including other sink components) within a 6 inch radius.
