I only use this as a standalone hard drive remover - it's hooked up to an old HP receipt printer. It's been 6 months and I've erased over 300 drives with no problems. I usually use 7-pass (VSITR) on every drive we throw away. Use this process and just to be sure; I connected multiple drives to my computer after cleaning. I then launched several different file recovery programs such as R-Studio; I have never been able to find any trace of the file. Everything works great in the end - insert a drive, choose a cleanup method and come back in 4-24 hours and you're done (the bigger the drive, the longer the execution time).
