The screws provided are of poor quality. There is a long dowel used to support the back/bottom of the steps; One of the screws was sheared off when being hammered in by hand. Had to use my own screws at this point. Everything else seemed fine as it was driven into those plastic receptacles in the crossbars. Tiny dowels used to attach some cross members. Some of the crossbars will move once everything is tightened. Some dowels were completely broken; Fortunately, there were enough "good enough" to put this thing together. It's slippery so I added some non-slip tape which added to the cost of a perfect $30 piece. It's not as good as IKEA furniture. If you're a little accommodating you can get over the poor quality, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't have spare hardware.
