This mat is one of the best and most useful purchases I have ever made for my baby. What I like: 1. He is very fat. My son just learned to sit up, fell on him a few times and didn't hurt himself.2. It's easy to clean. Drooling puddles or baby saliva are no problem. There is no texture (it looks like vinyl) which means I can just quickly erase it.3. It opens. You can either fold it in four (remove the Velcro to do this) or fold it in half. I just tuck it under the sofa for storage. Very easy.4. It doesn't slide everywhere. It stays where I put it. All around it's a safe and clean place for my kid to play and I think it's worth it. I bought a puzzle mat that got great reviews, but it turned out to be flimsy and almost useless for my purposes. This item will likely last for years.
