Review on 🔧 VIAIR 00042 Digital Tire Inflation Gun: Efficient Pump with 2.5" Gauge and Carry Bag by James Hess

I bought this to replace the inflation gun with an analog meter. The analog inflation gun worked, but it was almost impossible to determine the pressure in the range that corresponds to the pressure in car tires. I should have considered that before buying. With the analog gun, I always had to double-check with a hand-held meter, which resulted in multiple mating/disconnecting/measuring operations. I live in Wisconsin and during the winter I usually need to check the pressure in high performance tires (with TPMS) more frequently. No fun when the temperature is below zero. As a result, I was looking for a digital sensor that would be easier to use. I used the Viair digital gun for the first time today and it's great! It was very easy to put the batteries in the gauge and the digital gauge showed tire pressure instantly without the need for a separate handheld gauge. Since it was warmer today, I checked the Viair with my handheld gauge and took the pressures half a pound apart. Wrapping and LCD backlighting capabilities are also desirable. If Viair lasts even one season, it will be worth it. Highly recommended.
