Review on 🚴 Green Guru Gear Free Rider Bike Pannier - Multicolor, 22-Liter: Stylish and Spacious Cycling Companion by Juan Simpson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for commuting, shopping, anything but zip ties!

I bought this bag to put my backpack in for my commute or weekend shopping. All in all it's great. I can just throw the bag away, close the clips, and occasionally tie the lid with an elastic cord so nothing falls out. The additional zip pocket is good. It could also be another iteration as there is now a drain hole at the bottom. I already have a backpack rain cover so this was a great option. I was originally looking for a backpack or holdall that can be used as a basket, but didn't like any of the options (although ladies, if you like nice bags, check out Basil! Unfortunately, my luggage rack wasn't compatible with Basil bags (this is the standard rack) Larger Basil bags are square: I've been told you want a side covered rack like the Ibera PakRak Bike Touring Rack Plus+, Frame Mounted for heavier top and side loads, Height Adjustable, Fender, fits 26 -29" frame). I'll still deduct 1 star because the first time I went shopping I drove it over a big bump in the ground and the basket would have fallen over if it hadn't been zipped (through the handle) at the counter. The hooks have also bent (I bent them back) My groceries may have been too heavy but I would expect the advertised 22 liter basket to hold 1 full bag of groceries n. Again, the screws in the original Kickstarter ad would have prevented this: I've now added additional zip ties around the hooks on the post. A loop at the back for the lighting would also be nice. These are all minor complaints, however, and I like that my back isn't sweaty when I get to the office.
