Hard to give something a 4 star review yet return it. But, heres why: magnet is not that strong but the clear plexiglass helps hold the knives up. Came in great condition as opposed to other reviewers. Here's the rub. Because of the plexiglass You must remove the knives vertically [unlike magnetic strips that attach to the wall.] If you have cabinets over your counter. [like most of us do ] there is not enough room to pull the knife straight out! It conflicts with the bottom of the cabinet. Of course you can pull it out away from the wall 12" but that just puts it in the way and takes up valuable counter space. It looks nice and if you have a place to put it that doesn't interfere with a cabinet base I would buy this. Otherwise, consider where you can place it on your counter where it is not in the way.
