I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed with this iron that I had to solve the mystery. This item is AMAZING! You just touch the plates to turn it on, and it's fully heated in less than ten seconds. My hair is naturally a bit drier/coarser and there is a lot of it, but it doesn't compare to this straightener. Just a few times through my hair and they're smooth as silk. No styling products are shown in these photos. The iron has a very long cord which is great! But my favorite feature is the auto shut off after 30 seconds. I don't know about you, but I always worry about leaving the straightener on when I run out the door in the morning and have to come back and check regularly. Now it's in the past! It just turns itself off, but when you need it, press the plates again and it comes back! It's literally magical! Overall this rectifier is light years better than my CHI and GHD but at a fraction of the price. I will never use any other brand of straighteners again!
