I bought this planer to make waffles but it just won't cut. The curved cuts are not deep enough to cook the fries as expected. The food slicer also cannot be disassembled, making it difficult to clean by hand. Dishwasher is the best option but I don't have a dishwasher to use it so hand washing is my only option. An exceptional feature is that the safety guide allows you to use a whole pepper or large onion, which is better than cheaper brands. I have two mandoline slicers and the other is just as sharp and easier to clean but doesn't handle large veggies like this one. It cuts potatoes, onions, green peppers etc very quickly. I would give it 5 stars if it was easier to peel waffles and actually cut them as advertised.
