Don't notice the difference in the feel of the water.
I had to add a second washer to the hand held shower hose where the bottom of the filter enters. Before that he had a lot of leaks. The top of the filter didn't leak, but neither did it screw down to be flush with the base of my handheld showerhead. I don't notice any difference in the feel of the water and I don't notice the smell of lavender but I have to say I use lavender shower gel so maybe it just mixed with that smell. I'm starting to think that maybe water filters are just a gimmick to make money. Unless they remove the fluoride (the poison) nothing else seems to matter.
