Plastic mic. doesn't sound very good. I have a recording studio (more like a spare room I call a recording studio) and I need a feedback mic so that when I'm recording drums in the living room I can talk to the drummer or other musicians through headphones. it's perfect for that. It has a switch and honestly I think it looks really cool. I doubt it takes a lot of abuse. You could probably get an XLR to USB adapter and use it as a mic for podcasts or just as a mic on a computer. This microphone is not a professional microphone. but i bought it knowing it wasn't and again it just looks cool!
