We bought it a few months ago. This requires you to install one of several apps that may or may not work on your phone. We found one of these applications. He did his job well, greatly enlarging the image of what he was pointing at. In my case, I wanted to be able to get a good look at a spot on my skin that I couldn't see up close due to its location. You can't just take a picture with your phone. It worked great for this, but overall it seems very suitable for any occasion where you want to enlarge something significantly. It seems very well made and very cheap. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that the manufacturer takes no responsibility for having an app that is compatible with a range of existing phones. If the next phone I buy doesn't work with these third party apps, the microscope is useless.
