Review on πŸ”Š Klipsch Synergy Black Label Sub-100: Powerful 10” Front-Firing Subwoofer for Immersive Home Theater Bass in Black by Alan Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

12 inches was too much. This 10 " SW is perfect for our large room and Elac speaker set.

We recently upgraded our Def Tech ProCinema 1000 front and center speakers to the newly released Elac Uni-Fi 2.0. These speakers sound amazing. However, my old 8" Infinity SW was woefully inadequate (it always was) so we looked around for an upgrade. Our family room is quite large, approximately 16 feet by 28 feet, and is semi-open on one long side into the large kitchen. , bar and a wide corridor to the entrance. I figured we needed a bigger SW so we bought a Klipsch 12sw. It was anything but thin, didn't match the Elacs at all and was too boomy, especially at low volume - it was difficult to control. In short, it was disgusting to listen to. Thanks to a special wholesale membership store with an excellent return policy, I was able to return this 12" Klipsch. Thankfully. Although this speaker is also a Klipsch, albeit a 10" speaker, it is their more recent design, and although I don't say so could whether they made changes to the crossover or the woofer itself, we tried and bought one In short, this SW fits right in: it almost perfectly matches the elacs (after a slight change in the crossover point), fills the room looks very good, "adds" rather than swallowing quiet audio content, and really comes to life at medium volume levels. In other words, even when scrolling through Netflix or Revain content with good SW-worthy audio content (like The Expanse ) we can keep the volume very moderate and still get a solid but controlled boost for fundamental frequencies like spaceship engines and gunfire, we're very satisfied eden and impressed by this SW. I'm also very glad I didn't have to spend $600 for the Elac SW, which I would do if it didn't work. The software worked very well for our needs. smaller than the gigantic 12" version.
