Review on πŸ”¨ Estwing Metalworking Ball Peen Hammer by Abdullah Huan

Revainrating 1 out of 5

steel vs copper? Apparently copper wins.

Only good reviews on this hammer. That should have alarmed me, but I thought I might have found a reliable American tool. Well I would ask how many of these reviews are genuine. If it is indeed a US tool, Estwing should be ashamed. The two main points are: 1. The pointed head is NOT round. It was meant to be round but was lazily processed, cut out and left unfinished. The result is a spiraling, uneven head that creates jagged dots and jagged edges in your work. It's totally useless for framing or detailing.2. This hammer must be made of forged steel. WILL. From the very first use, hammering the copper rivets, the copper not only ruined the finish but also scratched and damaged the hammer head. pathetic. (See attached image) I am returning this hammer and will have to look elsewhere. Even my Chinese didn't work that bad.
