Review on Viltrox Wide Angel Autofocus M Mount Cameras by Pamela Beatty

The Viltrox 23mm f1.4 is one of those lenses that every Canon M-mount user needs. The build quality is amazing, all metal body. Even the lens hood is made of metal. Physically, the lens looks really premium. I grew up watching films and really enjoy having a physical aperture ring for manual aperture control. Another great benefit is the USB mount on the underside of the lens, which allows for easy firmware updates. In terms of autofocus, the lens is fast and responsive in both photo and video modes. Viltrox does a great job of learning other camera manufacturers' autofocus algorithms and it shows. It's really impressive considering they make these lenses for Canon's M-mount, Sony's E-mount and Fuji's X-mount. These are three completely different systems with three completely different autofocus styles, and Viltrox manages to get it right every time. The image quality of the 23mm f1.4 lens is really good. Images are crisp even at f1.4, with maximum sharpness at f4.0. The color reproduction is excellent both in the photo and in the video. And all this in a lens that is literally half the price of most other lenses for this system. Overall, the Viltrox 23mm f1.4 offers excellent value for money. Definitely recommend this lens!
