After trying to mute and tune my toms and snare for about a month to get rid of the annoying slightly noticeable ringing. I couldn't resist and tried them out. And immediately .gone. With a bit of support I have an intermediate level Ludwig 5 piece kit, nothing special but for an intermediate drummer with 20 years of experience it's ok for me. I switched to a regular acoustic kit after years of playing mostly high end Alesis electronic kits. I now know pretty well how to build an acoustic kit and I make sure all my stud tensions are set correctly and matched to all drums etc. I put on the best Wassermann coated beatset and had a sound that I wanted , but it's still such an annoying ring of light that just annoyed me. I spent a month trying different lug tension settings on the Rezo versus the test. It wasn't a resonance as I first thought. It was a ring. I could affect the resonance by changing the tension of the resonator head, but it was fairly constant. Tried duct tape, no, some gels, not much better. Somehow the ideas ran out. It wasn't something I could set up and I hate using duct tape etc and I don't use moon gels. So I saw her and thought well. What's another ten dollars. Works or not. Well it worked as soon as I put them on. I wish I had tried them sooner but didn't want to try anything else that didn't quite work. May not work for everyone and everyone may not like this cushioning as everything is very personal. My drums are not your drums. My ears are not like yours. May or may not be what a person wants, but it works. I didn't expect a simple mylar ring to make such a difference. A certain difference of course. It should, but not for me, fix a very annoying problem. So bottom line. For ten dollars, they make a noticeable difference. It can be the effect everyone wants or not, it's a gamble but for a ten. It's worth it.
