I live in Hawaii and have ordered them for all outdoor activities. First, they are super comfortable and very light. It's almost like wearing a pair of textured socks. The grip on the bottom/outsole is definitely solid and good on dry or wet surfaces. The insole is very structured and soft, which I like. I ordered a size 8 and I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 in women's shoes. To be honest I could have gone for a size 7 as there isn't much room in the heel. However, this is not enough to make the shoe uncomfortable or make the shoe appear too large.
