Didn't work for me in KVM switches

I don't know if this unit was defective or if it just didn't work but I had to send it back. I tried using it with two Linux boxes and a wired USB keyboard and mouse. Both the keyboard and mouse worked on one box, but I got an interrupt error on the other box and neither keyboard nor mouse worked on it. I suspect that the USB mouse/keyboard combo cable that this KVM uses could be the cause of the disconnect error, although since it worked on one computer and not the other, I think it's the motherboard issue /BIOS may have been affected cars. . The scroll lock hotkey to switch machines didn't work at all. Another annoyance was that when both machines were powered off, all the lights on the keyboard remained lit. I've cycled KVM as recommended in the troubleshooting section of the manual, but it made no difference. I ended up with a 2-port VGA IOGEAR KVM USB cable with audio and microphone, GCS72U, which uses separate USB cables for the keyboard. and mouse and comes with its own switch. It works perfectly.
