I've been waiting to look through it in hopes of finding something good to say about it. All in all, it's a good idea: build a cleanable gadget that you can stick a treat in, and your bird will have to do a bit of tinkering -- as they call it, getting food -- to get the treat. This requires a little thought on the part of the bird and takes away the monotony of having everything in the food bowl. It does not replace traditional feeding; it's only for treats. The design parameters are such that they should be easy to clean and remove and the bird should be able to move the boxes in and out without pulling them out all the way. In order for the box to move without pulling it out completely, a plastic sliding strip cut from the body of the device (the whole box for food) is needed in this case, but there is a small plastic element, something like a handle, that attached to each crate and slides through a slot in the bar, limiting the crate's movement. The slot serves as a passage to pull out the drawer. You screw a handle-like piece into each drawer from the bottom. The metal screw goes through the plastic part and enters the female threaded metal part, a round threaded nut that fits into the bottom of each drawer. In other words, the tray slides in and out along that slot, with a small piece below the slot that you physically screw into a piece of metal set into the bottom of the drawer. It may seem complicated, but in principle it is. simple. The very first problem you'll notice is that the screws that go into the plastic parts that hold the trays to the rail only hold a thread and a half. Once you thread the screws all the way through the plastic handle, there's only about a thread and a half left in the female part: I'm not kidding. I couldn't believe it. In addition to being the son of an engineer, I have done much manual and machine housework for decades, and I can assure you that a carving and a half is ridiculously inadequate. too short and/or that the plastic handles are too thick and/or the wall of the device itself is too thick, or a combination of these possibilities, or, more likely, it could be a design flaw. But sooner or later the screws come out with enough play: a turn and a half is not enough to hold them, and you can not tighten them: otherwise the trays will not stretch. move at all. Because the slots are at the bottom, when the top studs come out, the top studs will fall into the bottom shells, and when the bottom studs come out, they'll fall to the bottom of the cage. Either way, the bird could pick up the bolts, which you don't want, or you could lose the bolt if you don't realize it fell out fast enough. But let's pretend it's not a problem. , and that the trays fit and slide perfectly. Then we would immediately see the problem that this thing is very difficult to clean. Here on our planet Earth, unlike where it was intended, we have to regularly clean things to prevent the appearance of mold, moths and various parasites. So we need to take this thing apart as we put bits of food in it and yes it needs cleaning. You have to loosen four different screws, take out the trays and then put them back together. This shortens the life of the bolt's plastic mating surface, even if it were adequate, which as I mentioned is not the case. not tight enough. Eventually it will click and snap a thread, so you have to "tighten" it just to the point where you think it will loosen. In other words, it's not pulling tight enough. I'm sorry I can't say anything good about it, oh wait: it's a beautiful color. I said something good there. My apologies for having to give one star as Revain does not allow negative star ratings. This product must be designed by a genius, not an ordinary person.
